Escaping from life…

Whew, I finally finished my first semester exam which went on for 2 consecutive weeks(which feels like it went on forever). I breathed a sigh of huge relief when all those days of struggling and burning midnight oil finally ended. Never before had I sit for such a long exam, one paper each day. After the exam, I feel that I need a short break, both mentally and physically. Forgive me for missing in action for almost 2 weeks…

I watched Terminator Salvation yesterday. I’ve always love action packed movies and this one which is loaded with a whole lot of awesome special effects and tops with an outstanding plot is the reason that I really enjoy this movie. The fact that Marcus Wright is given a second chance to save the mankind after his wrongdoings is truly inspiring. He donates his body for a medical research following his execution to lethal injection and is transformed into a half man half machine individual known as terminator. Marcus is actually programmed to kill John Connor, the humanity leader and a Resistance member and yet he disobeys his creator’s will to destroy the Resistance army, all because he still owns a human heart and a mind of human. Not only did he save John Connor and all the other captives from Skynet, he sacrifices himself by donating his heart to John Connor. He is good after all, at least he does his part for the rights of mankind. Needless to say, Marcus Wright is my favourite character in this movie. Have you watched Terminator Salvation? If not, do you plan to give it a try?

It ain’t easy being a teacher…

Dear teacher,

I am your clay- it is your firm but loving touch that will shape me, my values and my goals

I am your paper- it is on me that your ideas and feelings will be recorded, often without you realizing it and carried for many years. It is through the help of your guidance that I learn life’s most important lessons

I am your garden- it is up to you to provide me with much needed care and attention, but at the same time, room to grow

I am your mirror- it is in me that many part of you will be reflected and if you have succeeded in doing your job, the image will radiate beautifully, warmth and love.

This is because you are my TEACHER.

Weekend celebrations

I celebrated my brother’s 13th birthday on Saturday and Mother’s Day together with my family during the weekend by dining out.

This year I decided to make things a little different by giving Mom a special surprise, something from my own creativity. Thanks to Smilebox, I presented Mom a special video flash card customized by me. I combined a few shots and video clips of memorable moments with mom, together with my words of appreciation. It was fun and easy to make and most of all, Mom really loves it and I could tell that she’s really touched by the gift.

I often enjoy experimenting with new things. Being new to Twitter, I’m eager to explore its available features. Two days of exploration led me to Song.ly and Playtwitter, which enable you to share your latest music preferences on Twitter. You have no idea how glad I feel about this discovery as I’m really fond of music. By following this video tutorial, I posted my 8th Twitter entry with my favourite song. If you watch the video tutorial, you’ll see how you can listen to my favorite songs on Twitter. Isn’t this great? I wonder do you know about this?
